MONDAY TELEMETRY For February 28th, 2011
Welcome to another installment of Monday Telemetry, a weekly blog from The Launchpad that covers some of the more interesting releases or events that are coming to the store this week.
AXE COP BAD GUY EARTH #1 (OF 3)
The amazing and hilarious comic is making its debut as an all-new Dark Horse miniseries this spring! Comics fans and fancy news blogs aren't the only ones to take notice of Axe Cop; now the so-called "real" police know about him, too. And if there's one thing police don't like, it's a guy with an axe who's better than they are at catching and dispatching bad guys! Now Axe Cop and his partner Dinosaur Soldier are being treated like bad guys, not only by the police, but by the president and the army, too! But when a pair of nasty villains barge in from outer space and turn the army into actual bad guys, who gets the call to set things right? Axe Cop!
BATMAN BEYOND #3
Batman and the Justice League thought they were prepared for anything, but they didn't expect the all-new Matter Master! How can they defeat a desperate man with complete control over the laws of physics and nothing left to lose? And has Terry's nightmare come true - could his family already be dead?
DEADPOOL #33.1
START READING with this Point One issue. Deadpool has risen to prominence, thanks to the immense talent of Daniel Way. And if you haven't been reading Deadpool, now is the time to delve into the Merc With A Mouth's twisted world! The Wrecker, an immensely powerful psychopath, is on the loose and wreaking havoc. There's only one person to call...Deadpool!
GREEN LANTERN #63
In this stunning prologue to the "War of the Green Lanterns," an unearthly alliance is made, Hal Jordan and Sinestro make a difficult sacrifice, and the power of Parallax grows!

Star Blazers to air on SyFy in April 2011
Woohoo! Seems the SyFy channel just keeps adding more anime to their lineup, and who can complain about that? The original Star Blazers will begin airing on the SyFy channel as of April 21 (a Thursday, which is where all of SyFy's anime will be moving from their original Monday airings.)
