Wardlings from Wizkids

I really like the look of these and think they'd be great if paired with one of the many "D&D for Kids" RPGs out there (Like Hero Kids!).

"Wardlings are pre-painted miniatures for families and gamers of any age who are young at heart and ready to embark with these young stylized adventurers."

From FFG's News Site:
Designed by MandalMotors, the M12-L Kimogila fighter was popular among the Hutts and free mercenaries due to the flexibility afforded it by its wide range of possible weapons configurations. This featured multiple gun emplacements and the ability to also equip torpedoes, meaning that it could function even as a bomber in some circumstances.

Abraham from The Starlost. We watched the first episode at the shop last night and it was "a hoot". This crazy old coot who languished near the door that led to the "bottomless pit" was the highlight I think. I can only assume this series and probably other SF of the time influenced Jim Ward's Metamorphosis Alpha. A game I was always interested in...

RIP Rich Buckler

I was given a bunch of mid-1970s Marvel comics when I was a wee lad. They included Astonishing Tales #32 - #35, and Marvel Team-Up #46, all featuring Deathlok The Demolisher!

As far as I can recall, reading Astonshing Tales was the first time I really took note of just who was drawing the book, it was just that good, that striking. It was Rich Buckler. An amazing comic artist. RIP Mr. Buckler. -Mike
