DC's $2.99 Rollback

From The Source.
New York, October 7, 2010– Beginning January 2011, DC Comics will implement a line-wide pricing adjustment, lowering the prices of all standard length 32-page ongoing comic book titles currently priced at $3.99 to $2.99, it was announced today by DC Comics Co-Publishers Jim Lee and Dan DiDio.
This is great news. If indies and Image comics and so forth can maintain a $2.99 price point, there's no reason the big guys can't.

  1. Marvel has announced their commitment to the $2.99 price point as well. Also, they're going to reduce their line count, cutting out underperforming books, and presumably stop saturating the line with so many books for certain characters. (Mike)
